Small Claims Court is a branch of the Superior Court of Justice that deals with civil disputes with a monetary value up to $35,000.00 and carries a limitation of 2 years. If you have been served with a claim it is imperative that you respond promptly. You have 20 days to respond from the day you receive the claim.
